Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Accounts are managed through Supabase.

By creating an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Keep your account credentials secure
• Be responsible for all activity under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts at any time.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other players
• Exploit bugs or unintended mechanics
• Use bots, scripts, or automation to gain an advantage
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data from the Service
• Interfere with the operation or security of the Service

You may provide content to the Service, such as your display name, avatar, feedback, and messages in public lobby chat.

You agree that your display name, avatar, and chat messages will not:

• Be offensive, hateful, or obscene
• Impersonate another person
• Infringe anyone’s rights

We may reset or remove display names and avatars that violate these rules, and we may hide chat messages, mute chat for an account, or restrict access for repeated violations.

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, we may use them freely to improve the Service without any obligation or compensation to you.

By using Tetherball, you acknowledge that:

• Gameplay actions (including guesses, matches, and interactions) are recorded and stored
• This data is used to operate, analyze, and improve the game
• We may review gameplay data to detect cheating or abuse

To maintain a fair experience, we reserve the right to:

• Reset scores, rankings, or progress
• Remove or ban users suspected of cheating
• Modify rules, mechanics, or game balance at any time

The Tetherball game design, branding, code, and original content are owned or controlled by us. Historical player and team data is compiled from publicly available sources.

Tetherball is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Basketball Association (NBA), the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA), or any NBA team or player. Player names and historical team data are used solely as factual, historical references. All NBA-related trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

You may not copy, distribute, or reproduce any part of the Service or its underlying code for commercial or competitive purposes without permission.

However, you are free to create and share content featuring Tetherball (including gameplay clips, videos, streams, and social media posts), provided it does not misrepresent the game or violate these Terms.

Tetherball relies on third-party services, including:

• Supabase
• Cloudflare
• Google (sign-in and analytics)

We are not responsible for outages or issues caused by these services.

The Service may be available as a mobile app through app stores such as Google Play and the Apple App Store. If you use the app, you acknowledge that:

• These Terms are between you and us - the app store is not a party to them
• The app store has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app
• The app store is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app
• You must also comply with the applicable app store’s terms of service

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We do not guarantee:

• Continuous availability
• Error-free operation
• Preservation of data or progress

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Loss of accounts, data, or gameplay progress
• Any damages resulting from use of the Service

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, without notice, for any reason.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service means you accept any changes.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
